James Ayris seems to be in his creative zenith this year, returning for the third time with 'Scum Smothered Cloud' building on the promise of his earlier release 'Hanging off A Dirty Mirror' back in May. A hushed affair of string sections and dark hues of melancholy, this time however it's a little more reposeful and charming. Opting for a more laid back and dainty approach.

Written and recorded from August to September of 2020 at my home.
